Locations for your shoot
Budapest has many beautiful places for a photoshoot. Below are a few of my favourites. If you haven’t chosen a place yet, I’ll help you find a location that suits your style and wishes.
Parliament & the Danube bank
Classic Budapest with a view of the Parliament: the riverside, the steps and beautiful architecture all around. Especially lovely at sunset.
Buda Castle & Fisherman’s Bastion
Light stone architecture, arches and a panorama of the whole of Budapest. The light here is best at sunrise, so be ready for an early photoshoot.
City Park & Vajdahunyad Castle
A green park, a lake and Vajdahunyad Castle. A spacious location where a walk, architecture and natural family moments come together.
Margaret Island
Quiet paths and wide green lawns in the middle of the Danube. A good choice for a calm, walking-style shoot.
Cosy cafés and streets
Cafés, pretty streets and everyday moments of city life. A relaxed shoot that doesn’t feel like a photoshoot.
A photo studio
A comfortable option in any weather. I’ll find a studio that suits your style and book it for you. Studio hire is paid separately and in advance: about 10,000–20,000 Ft per hour.
Not sure where yet?
Tell me what you’d like and I’ll choose a location that suits the season, the light and the kind of shoot.
Frequently asked questions
Our kids won't sit still.
They don't have to. I photograph them playing, running and cuddling; the best family photos are rarely posed. Bring a snack and a favourite toy.
Can grandparents or the dog come?
Yes. Tell me how many people (and pets) are coming so I can choose a place with enough room.
What should we wear?
Two or three calm colours that go together, comfortable shoes, and a spare top for the little ones. I’ll send ideas after you book.
What time of day is best with children?
Whenever they are rested and fed: often the morning. Pick a slot that fits around their naps.
How do I pay?
Nothing is paid when you book. You pay on the day: $100 for the first hour, plus $50 for each extra half hour, so 1.5 hours is $150 and 2 hours is $200 in total. Pay in forints (35,000 Ft for the first hour) in cash or by bank transfer, or in dollars by card. Prices include VAT.
What if I need to cancel or move the date?
Moving or cancelling is free up to 72 hours before: use the link in your confirmation email. If it is closer to the day, message me as soon as you can. If the weather turns, we move the shoot to another day for free.
