1. Who we are

The service provider is Bonvo Consulting Kft., a Hungarian limited liability company trading as Bonvo Studio Budapest (“we”, “us”). Lead photographer: Nika.

2. Scope and language

These terms apply to every photography, video and related service booked with us through this website, by message (WhatsApp, LINE, WeChat, KakaoTalk, email) or by accepting a written quote. They apply to consumers (people acting for private purposes) and to businesses. Where a rule applies only to consumers or only to businesses, we say so. A written quote or a signed agreement (for example a non-disclosure agreement for private sessions) takes precedence over these terms where it differs.

The contract is concluded in English. A Hungarian version is available; Lawyer decide which version prevails for Hungarian consumers. Summaries in Japanese, Chinese, Arabic and German are for convenience only.

The contract is made electronically. It is not a written contract in the sense of Hungarian law, we do not file it in a register, and we do not follow a code of conduct. You receive the booking summary and these terms by email, and you can print or save this page at any time.

3. Services and prices

Each package is described on its page and in the booking desk: duration, number of edited photographs, delivery time, locations, what is included and the add-ons on offer. The catalogue is kept in one place, so the price you see in the booking desk is the price we confirm.

• Consumers: prices are final and include Hungarian VAT (27%). There are no hidden fees; surcharges (for example a weekend or holiday surcharge on packages with hair and make-up or a gown) are shown before you pay.
• Businesses (events and corporate work): prices are net. Hungarian businesses pay 27% VAT on top. Businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT number (checked in VIES) are invoiced with reverse charge. For businesses outside the EU we confirm the VAT treatment on the quote.
• Currencies: prices are set in euros. When you choose another currency we convert with a fixed monthly rate and round to a clean amount. The deposit is charged in the currency shown at checkout; if a currency is not available at checkout, the deposit is charged in euros and the booking desk says so before you pay. Your bank may add its own conversion fees.
• Invoices: we issue an electronic invoice for every payment. Invoices are reported to the Hungarian tax authority (NAV) as required by law.

Photo-only packages are sessions where we provide the photography; they may also include extras such as a car, flowers or prints. All-inclusive packages include hair and make-up or a gown, which we book for you with partners for your date. The difference matters for the deposit, balance and cancellation rules below. Each package shows which rules apply before you pay.

4. How a booking is made

1. You choose a package, a date and a time of light, add your details and review the summary. Before you send anything you can go back and correct every entry.
2. You accept these terms and the privacy notice, then either pay the deposit (see section 5) or, for events and business work, request a quote.
3. Sessions with online deposit: the contract is concluded when the deposit is paid. You receive a confirmation by email with a booking reference.
4. Requests and quotes: a request is not yet a booking. We reply, usually within 12 hours, with availability and a proposal. The contract is concluded when you accept our written quote (by email or message) and, where the quote says so, pay the deposit.
5. If you send your booking by WhatsApp, LINE, WeChat, KakaoTalk or email instead, the contract is concluded when we confirm it in writing and the deposit is paid.

A date is held for you only once the contract is concluded. Until then another client may book it.

5. Deposit and balance

Deposits are paid online through Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and, for payments in Chinese yuan or US dollars, Alipay). We never see or store your full card number. Add-ons chosen later are added to the balance.

6. Changes and weather

• Changes: you can change the time or the add-ons at no cost until 72 hours before the session, subject to availability.
• Weather (photo-only): we check the forecast at 18:00 the evening before and tell you our decision. If rain or heavy cloud would spoil the light, we move your session free of charge to another morning. If no other morning within 12 months works for you, we refund your deposit in full.
• Weather (all-inclusive): every all-inclusive booking keeps a back-up morning within your stay. If the light fails, we move to it at no cost. If no other morning within 12 months works for you, we refund your deposit in full.
• Travel problems: if your flight is cancelled, you have a medical emergency or (for river-cruise guests) your ship’s call in Budapest is cancelled, tell us as soon as you can and we will move your session free of charge or refund your deposit.
• Light drizzle, fog or a grey sky are not bad weather in themselves; we decide together whether to go ahead.

7. Cancellation by you

Please cancel in writing (email or the message channel you booked with). What happens to the deposit depends on how far ahead you cancel:

If you cancel, no balance is due. If you do not come and do not tell us (no-show), the deposit is kept. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days.

Lawyer Check that the retained deposit is a fair pre-estimate of our loss for consumers (Ptk. 6:186 foglaló / 6:102 unfair terms) and whether the 12-month credit is acceptable for consumers who cannot travel again.

8. Cancellation by us

If we have to cancel (for example because Nika is ill, or for a reason under section 16), we offer you another date. If none suits you, we refund everything you have paid, in full, within 14 days. With your agreement we may offer an equally qualified photographer from our team. We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs you booked yourself, except where the law says otherwise Lawyer.

9. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

Consumers in the EU normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract made online. That right does not apply to services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance (Art. 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU; Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.) § 29 (1) l)). Our sessions are booked for a specific date and time of light, and we turn other clients away for that slot. Lawyer Whether a private photo session counts as a “leisure activity” has not been decided by a court (compare CJEU C-96/21), so do not rely on this exception alone.

This is why our own cancellation rules (section 7) are more generous than the law requires: for photo-only sessions booked more than 14 days ahead you can cancel for a full refund until 14 days before in any case.

If the exception does not apply to your booking, the following applies: you may withdraw within 14 days of the contract without giving a reason, using the form in the annex or any clear statement. If you asked us to start the service within the withdrawal period (for example because your session is less than 14 days away), you pay a proportionate amount for what we have already performed, and you lose the right of withdrawal once the session has been fully performed. At checkout we ask for your express request and acknowledgement of this.

10. Delivery of photographs

• We deliver edited photographs in a private online gallery within the delivery time of your package (from the day after the session). Some packages include a sneak peek or preview within 24–48 hours.
• The gallery stays online for TODO: 12 months. Please download your photographs; after that we cannot guarantee we still have them.
• We select and edit the photographs in our own style. Unedited camera files (RAW) are not part of any package unless the package says so. Additional retouching can be ordered.
• For private sessions the gallery is password-protected and shared only with the people you name.

11. Copyright and licence

The photographs and videos are works protected by copyright (Hungarian Act LXXVI of 1999). Copyright stays with the photographer and the studio. You receive a licence as follows:

• Personal licence (all private sessions): a non-exclusive, worldwide, unlimited-in-time right to use the delivered photographs for private, non-commercial purposes: to print them, to share them with family and friends and on your personal social media, and to use them in personal wedding or event stationery. Credit (@bonvo.studio / Nika) is welcome but not required. You may crop them; please do not apply filters that change the edit, sell them, license them to others, enter them into competitions as your own work, or use them to train AI models.
• Creators: every creator package includes organic use on your own channels (feed, stories, TikTok, YouTube, website), with credit where the platform allows. Paid advertising and a brand’s paid content need a paid-usage licence. The Brand Campaign Day package includes a 12-month paid-usage licence; for other packages we quote it before you book.
• Events and businesses: a non-exclusive licence for editorial, internal and marketing use by your company and the partners you name on the quote (for example sponsors and the venue), with no time limit. Paid advertising for third parties is licensed separately.
• Suppliers (hotels, planners, florists, venues) may use photographs only with our permission and yours.

The licence starts when the price is paid in full.

12. Portfolio use and model release

Under Hungarian law (Civil Code 2:48) and the GDPR we need your consent to publish photographs in which you can be recognised. We never assume it.

• Publication is opt-in and granular: you may allow our website portfolio, our social media, and/or advertising, separately, and for all photographs or only those you choose.
• You can withdraw consent at any time by email. We then stop any new use and remove the photographs from our own website and social media within 14 days; we cannot recall printed material or posts already shared by others.
• Saying no never affects your booking, price or service.
• Private sessions (for example our family and women’s sessions with a female team) are never published, and the non-disclosure agreement you receive with the booking applies. That changes only if you ask us in writing, image by image.
• If you want to be photographed without being recognisable in any published image, tell us before the session.

13. Children

Children are photographed only with a parent or legal guardian present, who books on their behalf. We never publish photographs in which a child can be recognised unless every person with parental responsibility has given explicit written consent for that specific use. By default, images of children are not published.

14. On the day

• Please be at the meeting point on time. Sunrise does not wait: if you are late, the session still ends at the agreed time and the full price is due.
• Photographs in public places are taken with the usual respect for other visitors and the rules of the site. Some areas (such as the upper towers of Fisherman’s Bastion later in the day) are ticketed; entry fees are not included unless stated.
• Drones are not flown in central Budapest. Larger crews or productions may need a public-space permit, which we arrange and charge separately.
• You are responsible for your own belongings and, for children, for their supervision.

15. Liability

We carry out every session with professional care. If we fail to deliver photographs through our own fault (for example a technical failure of our equipment), we offer a free reshoot or refund the price paid for the affected part. Our liability for intentional or grossly negligent breach, and for harm to life, physical integrity or health, is not limited. Lawyer For businesses, our liability for other damage is limited to the price of the booking, to the extent the law allows (Ptk. 6:152). We are not liable for services you book directly with third parties.

Consumers keep all their statutory rights, including the rights for defective performance (warranty) under the Hungarian Civil Code.

16. Force majeure

Neither side is liable for failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as severe weather warnings, natural disasters, epidemics, official restrictions, strikes, closure of the location or serious accidents. In such a case we move the session to a date that suits you, or refund any amount paid for services not performed.

17. Complaints and disputes

Please tell us first; we want to put things right. Write to hello@bonvo.studio or to our registered address. We answer written complaints in writing within 30 days and keep complaints for five years (Hungarian Consumer Protection Act, section 17/A). If we reject a complaint, we explain why and tell you where to turn next.

Consumers living in Hungary can turn to the board of their county of residence. We will cooperate in the conciliation procedure.

• For consumers in other EU countries: the European Consumer Centre in your country can help with cross-border disputes (ECC Hungary).

The EU online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was closed on 20 July 2025 (Regulation (EU) 2024/3228), so we do not link to it. Lawyer Confirm no other ODR notice is required.

18. Governing law and courts

Hungarian law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of that country. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence or of Hungary. For businesses, the courts competent for our registered seat have exclusive jurisdiction.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version accepted at booking applies to that booking. Earlier versions are available on request.

20. Gift certificates

You can buy a gift certificate for someone else in the booking desk (Give the sunrise). There are two kinds: a value certificate (€300, €500 or €1,000, or the same value in the currency shown at checkout) and a session certificate for one named package. Both are paid in full at purchase and carry no date: the person who receives it chooses the morning.

• Validity: 24 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is printed on the certificate. The session has to take place before that date; a session booked before expiry can be moved under section 6 even if the new date falls after it.
• Redemption, subject to availability: to book, reply to the certificate email or write to us quoting the certificate code. A certificate does not hold a date. Dates are confirmed in the order requests arrive, and there is one sunrise session a morning, so please book early for weekends and the high season. The booking is concluded when we confirm the date in writing.
• Transferable: the certificate can be passed on to anyone, and whoever presents the code may redeem it, once. Please keep the code safe; if it is lost, we reissue it to the buyer on request, as long as it has not been used. It cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Refund: an unused certificate is refunded in full if the buyer asks within 14 days of purchase (the withdrawal period for online purchases, see section 9). After that, or once a session has been booked with it, the certificate is not refundable. Lawyer
• Value higher than the session: if the certificate is worth more than the session and add-ons booked, the rest stays on the certificate as credit until it expires, for add-ons, prints, an album or another session. It is not paid out.
• Value lower than the session: the certificate is set against the price first, and the recipient pays the difference. The deposit and balance rules of section 5 apply to that difference; if the certificate already covers the deposit, no further deposit is due at booking.
• Session certificates: cover the package named on the certificate at the price the buyer paid, even if our prices change later. Add-ons, and a weekend or holiday surcharge on packages that have one, are paid when the session is booked. If we no longer offer that package, the amount paid is used as a value certificate.
• After booking: sections 6 and 7 apply to the booked session. Where they provide for a refund of the deposit, the part paid with the certificate goes back onto the certificate, with its original expiry date, instead of being paid out; any amount the recipient paid on top is refunded to them.

Lawyer Confirm: (a) that the 14-day withdrawal right applies to a certificate without a date (the leisure-activity exception in section 9 needs a specific date, so we assume it does); (b) whether keeping the value of an unused certificate after that period, and on expiry, is a fair term for consumers (Ptk. 6:102) or whether the unused value must be repaid on request (unjust enrichment, Ptk. 6:579), and whether 24 months is enough; (c) the VAT treatment as a single-purpose or multi-purpose voucher (Council Directive (EU) 2016/1065 and the Hungarian VAT Act) with the accountant; (d) that a bearer code (“whoever presents the code”) is acceptable.

21. Local photoshoots booked on photo.bonvo.org/photo/

This section applies to the maternity, couple, personal portrait and family photoshoots booked through the pages at photo.bonvo.org/photo/ (“local photoshoots”). For these sessions it replaces sections 5, 6, 7 and 14 and the currency rule in section 3; where anything else in these terms differs from this section, this section prevails.

• Price: $100 per hour (35,000 Ft) including 27% Hungarian VAT. Extra time is $50 per half hour (17,500 Ft), so 1.5 hours cost $150 and 2 hours $200 in total. A rented photo studio, if you choose one, is not included (about 10,000–20,000 Ft per hour); we tell you the amount before we book it.
• Included: 50–70 edited photographs in a private online gallery within 7–14 days, and help with the location, outfits and posing.
• Booking: you choose a free date and time in the booking calendar (Cal.com). Nothing is paid in advance. The contract is concluded when the booking is confirmed by email; the confirmation links to these terms.
• Payment: the full price is paid on the day of the session: by card in US dollars, or in forints in cash or by bank transfer at a fixed 350 Ft per dollar (35,000 Ft for one hour).
• Booking by message: if you book by Instagram, WhatsApp or Telegram message, the contract is concluded when Nika confirms the date in writing, and the price is paid on the day as above.
• Moving the date: free of charge up to 72 hours before the session, subject to availability (with the link in the confirmation email, by email or in the channel you booked with). If rain, snow or a storm would spoil the session, we move it free of charge at any time, even on the day.
• Cancellation by you: free of charge. Please cancel at least 72 hours before the session (with the link in the confirmation email, by email or in the channel you booked with), so that the time can go to someone else. Nothing is charged if you cancel later or cannot come, but please tell us as early as you can.
• Cancellation by us: section 8 applies; you owe nothing.
• Right of withdrawal: local photoshoots are booked for a specific date and time, so in our view the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply (section 9). If it does apply to your booking: when you book, you ask us to hold and perform the session on the chosen date, even if it is within 14 days; you may still withdraw within 14 days of booking, you pay a proportionate amount if you withdraw after the session has started, and you lose the right once the session has been fully performed. The booking form asks you to confirm this request and that you accept these terms.
• Everything else: sections 1, 2, 8–13 and 15–19 apply (delivery, copyright, opt-in portfolio use, children, liability, complaints and governing law).
